Do Zeba Hands Free Sneakers Work?

I recently saw a product on Facebook called Zeba which bills itself as an innovative new concept sneaker. The term they use is “Hands-free Sneakers”. Since I was already in the market for a new pair of sneakers I figured I’d give this new product a chance. They’re an American company based out of Paramus, NJ and have countless rave reviews on their Facebook page and the their Testimonials section, so I figured if these shoes work as promised they would be great. The only concern I had was that there was no way they could work as well as demonstrated in their promotional video:

Do Zeba Shoes Work?

Yes! I bought the shoes on July 10th (size 10 Steel Onyx medium) and they arrived just 4 days later and were delivered through Fedex. While Amazon Prime has spoiled my expectations when it comes to shipping, 4 days is no big deal.

Zeba shoes are really something. I didn’t think they would work as advertised, but they really do fit just go on effortlessly. And they feel just as snug on my feet as my old pair of New Balance sneakers. My biggest concern was that since they go on so easily, they would feel ‘different’ than a regular shoe, but that’s not the case at all. They feel nice and snug on your feet! Every time I put my shoes on now it feels amazing. It sounds silly, but just being able to slip your shoes on in 2 seconds is a really cool feeling. Whether I’m stepping out to take my dogs out or to take the trash out, I can slip my shoes on in a second! I’m actually a pretty fit guy and exercise regularly, so I didn’t need the easy on functionality for health reasons, but they’re super convenient for when I need to step out of the house. I initially expected to wear them for small things when I need to stop out for a short time, but these Zeba sneakers are so comfortable, they’re my main sneakers now. I even wear to them to the gym. They really do feel like a regular athletic sneaker.

Are Zeba Shoes Worth It?

While $139.99 for a pair of sneakers can be considered pretty steep, a high end pair of New Balance of Nikes will run a similar amount and they don’t have the same functionality. Zebas are both comfortable and have the easy on functionality. I can’t see myself buying any other brand of sneaker again and I’m not the only one who’s saying that. I’ve spent a considerable amount of time reading comments on the company’s Facebook page, and so many people have said that Zebas are the only shoes they’ll ever wear. I originally thought it was nonsense, but after trying these shoes on, I can safely say they’re the only shoes I’ll ever buy again. They’re that good. Here’s the style i have and I love them:

A Short Beautiful Video on Design and Engineering

While this video isn’t exactly new, it’s been around since 2015, it’s a must see video which describes the engineering behind a simple everyday item: a soda can. The video illustrates the progression of a product over the years and how each step along the way improved it.

I’ve always been fascinated with design and engineering and I find this video best illustrates how a product evolves over time. What may appear like simple and ‘obvious’ changes are rarely ever obvious until after the fact. Any time I see something that looks beautifully engineered it always strikes my fancy, which is why I wrote about Zeba Shoes in the past. That company took an everyday item, the sneaker, and improved on it. After seeing the innovation, it becomes obvious to us that this should have been done years ago, but it wasn’t. I’ve bought these shoes and they really do function as well as the video demonstrates. When I show them to people the first thing they always say is there’s no way it fits snug on your feet, but sure enough anyone with the same foot size as me (I wear a men’s 10) is always shocked when they see for themselves that it really does work.
